Auntie Em For Sale
I'm putting off working, sitting here daydreaming about candy and cookies. We're paying to have the living and dining rooms painted but I have to paint the upstairs bathroom and my room. And I'm not. I'm just sitting here. My plan is to start taking my artwork out of the boxes in the family room and begin hanging them. We found life in suburbia is expensive; it's better, but it costs more. Especially when the person preceeding you in the house didn't keep up with the maintenance.
My personal money is down and since this house is something of a money pit, I'm intending to start doing pen and ink erotic drawings to sell on Ebay again. I don't want to hit the family money for little things. This time I'm going to limit them to just pen and ink though and get the mattes from one of the craft retailers instead of cutting them myself. This will be strictly for income, if they'll sell. I guess if they don't, I'll have to figure something else.
I can't even find Aunt Em on there. Ugh.

the houses in the back ground of that painting could be on my street!
oh i understand the money woes my dear, our furnace recently had the bun, and upon it's breaking the water heaters all unloaded into the basement. exspensive, messy, and cold here now. we won't get a new one until wednesday. i'm shivering in my boots already. *sigh*
at least i'm not alone ;)
The situation with your water heater and furnace sound awful! You must be freezing and you have young children too. Do you have a fireplace or space heaters? I'm so sorry for you. I've always been afraid of either the heaters or air conditioners breaking down.
It's depressing alright, not to have money. I guess we're both doing well relative to other people in the world. Nobody's shooting at us and we have roofs over our heads, whether it's cold inside or not. And we know we'll be able to do what's necessary, if not right away, then eventually. Yeah, I want everything right now, but life isn't that way.
I'm still amazed that I'm living here (with or without a full bathroom off the family room.) It's nice. And I know you love your house too. You're waiting till Wednesday for the heater? I'm so sorry. I can just imagine what it's like and it doesn't sound good.
we have a few space heaters going but it is a very BIG house and old so with out a bit of over all heat, she gets cold. the water is all driend up and all appears to be fine in that concern, no damage.
i would love to get the fire places going but we don't know the state of the chimneys yet, we could burn chemical logs but they are so yucky. there are logs made from used coffee grounds, but they are pricey.. epp..
dispite it all we're still pretty contented.
